This guesthouse has eleven unique cottages, each with an authentic farm feel.
“The furniture and decorative items for each cottage are selected and chosen for a weathered, old-world feeling,” said Erika Kotze, co-owner of Willems River.
Willemsrivier is the perfect getaway destination with many historical buildings for viewing, such as the Smuts / Maritz Office, the Waenhuis, the Opstal and many more. For adventure lovers, there is also a 4×4 trail and hiking trails.
Over three cottages have been restored and furnished. The first cottage, SandCastle, is named after the ancient graves that look like sand castles.
The house is a two-room building – one room is the living/ kitchen/bedroom and the other room is the bathroom with bath and shower.
This is the perfect accommodation for two persons.
There is a nice stoep with a sheltered outdoor shower.
The second house is Waenhuis, a small comfortable open plan house with a full bathroom and shelter.
This was an old store where implements is stored, and therefore also called Waenhuis.
Waenhuis front north and therefore you can enjoy the beautiful sunset every evening!
The latest addition is Bakoven, named after the old oven that stands in front of the new house.
This intimate house accommodates two people.
