Figures have demonstrated that Lephalale is among the territories in the Waterberg district with a high predominance of HIV/AIDS pandemic.

Deputy Director of HIV/AID and STI Cluster in the Waterberg District, Tryphina Bambo, estimations revealed that 578 new occurrences of HIV/AIDS sullying were recorded from October to December 2016 in Lephalale and a further 583 recorded from January 2017 to March.
