Five people were killed, two seriously harmed when two vehicles, impacted head-on between Lephalale and Groblers Bridge border post.
Police Spokesperson Lieutenant Colonel Moatshe Ngoepe said the accident occurred along R510 on Christmas Eve.
“It is alleged that the driver of a Toyota Pajero lost control of the vehicle in view of tire burst. The vehicle rolled a couple of times and pummeled into the second vehicle,” said Ngoepe.
Ngoepe said police are investigating the death of five passengers killed when two-vehicle crash which occurred around 33km outside of Lephalale on Sunday evening.
Ngoepe said three travelers, all Botswana nationals, from the Toyota Pajero were killed in a flash, saying and other two were taken to nearby hospital with serious injuries.
“The two travelers from the second vehicle, Zimbabwean nationals were ensured dead at the scene,” said Ngoepe.
