African National Congress (ANC) President Cyril Ramaphosa can’t oust “disrespected” head of State, Jacob Zuma in light of the fact that the ruling party comprises corrupt and narrow-minded leaders.
Democratic Alliance (DA) National Spokesperson Phumzile Van Damme said in a statement on Thursday failure by Ramaphosa to fire Zuma demonstrates the party is unequipped for change.
“Regardless of Zuma’s careless activities, Ramaphosa is neglecting to recall him demonstrates the ANC won’t self-correct and that we can just expect business as usual,” said Van Damme.
Van Damme said if Ramaphosa was truly serious about rooting out corruption, Zuma would no longer be the President of South Africa.
“Zuma and his intrigue of corrupt cronies have wreaked havoc on our nation,” said Van Damme.
She said Zuma has made reckless decisions, destroyed key public institutions, weakened our democracy and demolished our economy, all under the noses of the ANC administration.
Van Damme said South Africans deserves an able President who will act to their greatest advantage consistently, not somebody who mishandle their energy and steals from the general population.
“It is clear Ramaphosa isn’t equivalent to the errand of disposing of Zuma since the ANC comprises corrupt and selfish leaders,” said Van Damme.
Van Damme said DA will keep on pursuing each conceivable road to consider Zuma responsible for the 783 counts of corruption as well as his part in state capture.
“The DA is the only alternative to the morally bankrupt ANC,” added Van Damme.
