As a major aspect of its revolutionary pilgrimage to seek spiritual wisdom, the African National Congress (ANC) National officials led by the party’s President Cyril Ramaphosa on Thursday visited Zion Christian Church (ZCC) in Moria, outside Polokwane in Limpopo.
Moria is the spiritual centre, and headquarters of the ZCC.
ANC National Spokesperson Pule Made said in a statement the visit was additionally to express gratitude toward Bishop Barnabas Lekganyane for his endeavors to continue praying for the ruling party.
“The visit is part of the ANC revolutionary pilgrimage to look for profound intelligence,” said Mabe.
Mabe said Today’s [Thursday] visit was also the first time in 10 years that the ZCC had acknowledged the initiative of the ANC to visit the congregation’s headquarters.
Addressing the South African Broadcasting Corporation after the ANC met Bishop Lekganayne, President Ramaphosa stated: “We thank the congregation for their prayer, we are also here to request that they keep praying and giving the ANC their blessings as we undertake our mandate to enhance the lives of our people. We further extend our appreciation to Bishop Lekganyane.”
Ramaphosa said while the ruling party acknowledges the ZCC’s objective position, today [Thursday] visit serves to reaffirm our mutual esteems for moral and good leadership.
