“The visit is part of the ANC revolutionary pilgrimage to look for profound intelligence,” said Mabe.

Mabe said Today’s [Thursday] visit was also the first time in 10 years that the ZCC had acknowledged the initiative of the ANC to visit the congregation’s headquarters.

Addressing the South African Broadcasting Corporation after the ANC met Bishop Lekganayne, President Ramaphosa stated: “We thank the congregation for their prayer, we are also here to request that they keep praying and giving the ANC their blessings as we undertake our mandate to enhance the lives of our people. We further extend our appreciation to Bishop Lekganyane.”

Ramaphosa said while the ruling party acknowledges the ZCC’s objective position, today [Thursday] visit serves to reaffirm our mutual esteems for moral and good leadership.
