Begin the year with full of Life” and what a better way to live a healthy lifestyle than with rooibos tea?
National Rooibos Day will be celebrated on Tuesday, January 16, 2018.
Why the product? Most people in Msamzi love the tea and drink it.
The health benefits of this unique local brand is also being used countrywide.
Our country and the rest of the world observe the day.
Communities will also organise their own events to share their perfect #RooibosMoment.
“We are happy to honour the second National Rooibos Day next year,” says Clanwilliam’s Rooibos Tea House co-owner Sanet Stander
She is the co-founder of the Rooibos Route.
At Tea House, we welcome many visitors to experience this unique thirst quencher in the heart of the country.
Each time we tell them the story about Benjamin Ginsberg, the brainchild of the industry, they also want to spend the big day with friends and family.
The tea is a household name that South Africans grew up with and drink it, so it’s easy to dedicate a January 16 to Rooibos tea.
“Let’s enjoy rooibos as a nation and let the world know we are proud of our product. We have many ways to be proud of it,” Stander says.
“Have special treatments for your regular clients at your salon. With the diversity of infusing, drink you could cook up a storm. Get your hand at a new recipe, enjoy it, a glass of red wine or a rooibos made beer. Or have a gin party and add the tea’s aperitif as an alternative.”
“Why not break the record which the community of Clanwilliam kicked off in January this year?
We had 1 246 participants in one space drinking a cup of the tea at the same time. Encourage your school to take part,” suggest Marietjie Smit.
Sanet welcomes you, wherever you are, to join the big day.
She suggests you drink it at your teahouse, restaurant or invite friends for a quaint rooibos party.
You can enjoy it any way you prefer.
