DA underpins ANC Motion of No Confidence against Zuma

The Democratic Alliance (DA) welcomes the decision by the ANC to support the Motion of No Confidence in President Zuma.

DA Leader Mmusi Maimane said the Motion of No Confidence against the President affirms contention made by opposition parties to expel President  Zuma through Parliament.

Parliament has the ability to elect and expel Presidents,” Maimane said in a statement on Wednesday.

Maimane said this is the ninth such motion that Zuma will confront and the main that the ANC will bolster.

We have consistently proposed a comparable motion to expel Zuma, and on each event, the ANC protect him, even by the individuals who currently partake in his political execution,” said Maimane.

Maimane said the ANC has not presently woken up to the harm Zuma has caused to the nation, including that the ruling party ensured one political master, and now he has lost power, they are securing their new political ace.

Maimane depicted articulations by Secretary-General Ace Magashule, saying President has done nothing wrong when asked by the media for what reason the ANC is recalling Zuma, as an insult to the country.

We are clear why he should go now. Jacob Zuma is corrupt, he has abused his office, and he has usurped the Constitution and has pulverized the prosecution services.

Zuma has utilised the Presidency to construct a deep-rooted corrupt system that has infiltrated every aspect of the state.
