Lephalale farm assault: Five arrested

To fight incidents of property and trio crimes in this Province, the ongoing activities led by the Dedicated Joint Clusters and Stations Task Teams including different Police Units, have yielded important and positive outcomes, Police Spokesperson Lieutenant Colonel Moatshe Ngoepe said on Tuesday.

Police on Tuesday arrested five suspects aged between of 20 and 45 in Dorset outside Lephalale regarding the farm attack which happened on Monday.

“The victim was shot with a gun at Oversprong farm, robbed a number of items before attackers flee the scene,” said Ngoepe.

He said the suspects will soon appear under the steady gaze of the Lephalale Magistrate’s Court.

Police Provincial Commissioner, Lieutenant General Nneke Ledwaba has welcomed this milestone accomplishment with high regard and he also complimented these Teams of individuals from Lephalale Clusters, on the job well-done
