Illustrious German automobile producer, BMW Group has announced it will get something done to market the launch of its marque in November 2018 with two model variants, the BMW M850i x Drive Coupe M Performance model and BMW 840d x Drive Coupe with six-cylinder.
The local [South Africa] launch will tail this in the fourth month [first quarter] of 2019.
BMW M850i Drive Coupe boasts the new 390 kW V8 engine which uses a fuel consumption combined 10.5–10.0 l/100 km and CO2emissions combined 240–228 g/km.
The global fêted carmaker reveals that M840d in-line 235 kW diesel unit development include fuel consumption combined 6.2–5.9 l/100 km and CO2 emissions combined 164–154 g/km.
In both instances, the auto’s power transfer occurs through a further developed eight-speed Steptronic transmission.
Both engines comply with EU6d-TEMP standard exhaust emission.
The model’s body structure, driven technology, and suspension focus on achieving the elite dynamic performance expected of a top-class sports car.
Low centre of gravity, well-balanced weight distribution, lightweight construction using aluminium, magnesium and carbon-fiber-reinforced plastic, optimised and lift-free body, powerful engines, sports exhaust system, rear axle differential lock, stiff body and suspension structure.
The brands come with adaptive M suspension, Integral Active Steering, and standard mixed-size tyres.

The cars have powerful styling with new, pared-back design language, flowing lines, low-slung body, long bonnet, tapered glasshouse, powerful shoulder line, distinctive “double-bubble” roof contouring and long rear window widening towards its lower edge.
The model is a typical sports car with an exterior length of 4,843 mm, a width of 1,902 mm, a height of 1,341 mm and a 2,822 mm wheelbase.
Options include M carbon roof and M Carbon exterior package with air intake slats, exterior mirror covers, rear spoiler and rear diffuser in CFRP.
The models boast slimmest headlights of any BMW model.
Standard adaptive LED, BMW Laser light with selective beam and extended high range of up to 600 metres are available as options.
It comes up with a relaxed and luxurious interior ambiance, oriented lines and surfaces direct the eye forward onto the road.
Structured arrangement controls focus on the driver including the importance attached to delivering a sporty, dynamic driving experience.
High-grade materials, sophisticated interior lighting, trim surfaces rising from the centre console to the instrument panel.
The panel and door shoulders instruments are trimmed with leather.
Telephone with wireless charging, BMW display Key, Bowers & Wilkins Diamond Surround Sound System and glass applications for specific control elements are high quality for contemporary luxury.
The low seating position on redesigned sports seats, standard Vernasca leather trim.
Two rear seats also have a low seating position, rendering headrests unnecessary.
It has standard operation automatic boot lid, 420 litres luggage capacity and 50: 50 spilled/folding rear seat backrest for increased storage space.
M Sports package has specific design and equipment features that additionally emphasise the car’s dynamic character.
Air intakes are generously dimensional, it boats19-inch M light-alloy wheels, M Sports braking system, multifunction seats and M leather steering wheel, illuminated door sills with M logo.
The BMW M Performance model comes with features including 20-inch M light-alloy wheels and high-performance tyres, specific M Sports braking system,
exclusive exterior elements in Cerium Grey, stainless steel mesh interior trim strips and illuminated door sills boasting the model designation.
Also available at market launch are the M Technic Sports Package and model-specific BMW Individual features.
The new generation of the M Performance TwinPower Tug33rbo V8 engine combines addictively dynamic power delivery with a characteristic eight-cylinder engine sound.
The 4.4-litre displacement, newly developed twin-scroll turbochargers located within the V-shaped space between the cylinder banks, optimised direct petrol injection, VALVETRONIC, and Double-VANOS, maximum output up by 50 kW without the weight increase, maximum torque of 750 Nm available between 1,800 and 4,600 rpm.
It has a sports exhaust system with flap control and gas treatment which includes gasoline particulate filter.
The Six-cylinder in-line diesel engine with the latest BMW TwinPower Turbo technology including multi-stage turbocharging and common-rail direct injection with piezo injectors and the maximum pressure of 2,500 bar.
Thanks to exhaust gas recirculation to optimized emissions, diesel particulate filter, NOx adsorption catalyst and SCR catalyst.
