The Honourable Mayor of Lephalale Local Municipality, Cllr Moloko Jack Maeko has on Tuesday held a meeting together with the community structures of Ga-Seleka village to resolve the on-going protests in the area.
Lephalale Municipality spokesperson Conscious Chiloane said the meeting aimed at discussing the current challenges surrounding the chieftaincy of Baphuting Boo Seleka was successful.
“The Mayor together with the Honourable MEC for Co-operative Governance, Human Settlements and Traditional Affairs Jerry Ndou, will address and advice the community of Seleka regarding these challenges on Thursday 05 July at Seleka Community at 14:00,” said Chiloane.
“As the Municipality, we are appealing to the community not to interfere or disrupt this process.
We further appeal that the community refrains from engaging in violent activities and preventing those who are working from going to work,” added Chiloane.
