Police have arrested a woman on Saturday in Marapong Township, Extension 4, outside Lephalale.
Police Spokesperson Colonel Moatshe Ngoepe confirmed a 31-year-old suspect will appear in the Lephalale Magistrate’s Court on Monday, charged with the murder of her former boyfriend.
According to the police, the 36-year-old deceased had earlier asked the suspect to accompany him to his home, but the suspect declined.
“The deceased later went to the suspect’s house and allegedly found her with another man and a fracas ensued until the suspect stabbed this man to death with a sharp object.
The suspect will appear in the Lephalale Magistrate’s Courts on Monday on charges of murder,” said Ngoepe.
Ngoepe urged members of the community to refrain from resorting to violence in case of any dispute including the domestic related ones which sometimes lead to murder.
He said police were investigating the case.
