Prison break: Three Mozambican nationals on the run

Police in Wit­poort, Ga-Sele­ka out­side Lep­ha­lale has launched a mas­sive man­hunt for the three await­ing tri­al pris­on­ers who escaped from police hold­ing cells on Thurs­day.

Limpopo Police Spokesper­son Colonel Moat­she Ngoepe said pre­lim­i­nary police inves­ti­ga­tions indi­cat­ed that these pris­on­ers cut the roof of the exer­cise room and escaped.

“Cir­cum­stances of the inci­dent is still unknown,” said Ngoepe.

Police iden­ti­fied the escapees as Jere­mi­ah Mochon­go (34), Lover­more Onward Morere (35) and Inno­cent Khu­ma­lo (43) they are all Mozam­bi­can nation­als arrest­ed for mur­der.

Cir­cum­stances around the escap­ing inci­dent are still being inves­ti­gat­ed.
