Samsung has apologised to its clients following the postponement to unveil the new Galaxy Fold smartphone.
“We need to express gratitude toward customers for their understanding and comprehension,” Smartphone maker said in a statement on Tuesday.
Samsung said is planning to announce the release date in the coming weeks.
It is understood the delay was incited by reviewers that the new arrival [smartphone] needs further flawlessness before acquainting it with the market.
“While numerous commentators shared with us the tremendous potential they see, others additionally demonstrated to us how the gadget needs further enhancements that will ensure the most ideal client experience,” said Samsung.
The company said the excitement around Galaxy Fold follows the recently unveiled cell phone utilising multiple new technology and materials to make a display that is sufficiently adaptable to fold.
“To completely assess this input and run further internal tests, we have postponed the arrival of the Galaxy Fold. We intend to announce the release date in the coming weeks,” the company said.
Samsung said the first findings on the issues on the display showed they could be associate with impact on the top and bottom exposed areas of the hinge.
“There was also an instance where substances found inside the device affected the display performance.
We will take measures to strengthen the display protection.”
Samsung said it will also improve the direction on consideration and utilization of the presentation including the defensive layer with the goal that our clients benefit from their Galaxy Fold.
