Police Spokesperson, Colonel Moatshe Ngoepe said Pastor Jenje took the little girl from her unsuspecting mother to a nearby river with the pretext he would heal her but raped her.

“The mother alleges the suspect landed at their home at 4:30 pm on Monday, June 17 for a prayer session and afterward revealed to her the girl is sick. He further claims the girl ought to go with him to the closest river to heal her,” said Ngoepe.

Police said the girl’s mom ended up stressed when the two did not return and informed her partner to search for them.

“The stunned father couldn’t believe his eyes when he sees his girl half-stripped, running and shouting for help. The terrified girl  at that point claimed the pastor sexually assaulted her,” said Ngoepe
