A couple behind bogus fraudulent investment scheme sought by police

The Serious Commercial Crime Investigation Team, the Hawks, based in Bethlehem, Free State, is looking for Albert David Titus and Bonolo Millicent Titus in connection with a fraudulent investment scheme that they allegedly used to swindle unsuspecting investors out of their pockets by promising higher returns, then disappeared.

According to Free State Hawks Spokesperson, Captain Christopher Singo, the victims invested their money in a bogus investment scheme in 2020, promising them a 30-day interest return.

“The victims did not receive their money as promised, and the suspects are no longer available at Ladybrand’s business location. The victims suffered a total loss of more than R600,000,” said Captain Singo.
