A young Lephalale woman “disappeared” after getting off the taxi

The police have launched a operation, looking for a missing Kgone Jacoline Maredi, 25 from Riepspruit in Lephalale.

She disappeared on November 11, 2020.

The family reported her as missing after she failed to return home.

Police Spokesperson Constable Maphure Manamela said according to the information ” we received ” Kgone was last seen when the taxi driver dropped her off at Engen petrol filling station next to Lephalale Police Station.

According to Constable Manamela, the Kgone told the taxi driver she will wait for someone at the filling station, adding that since then, nobody saw her.

The clothes she is wearing are unknown. The police conducted searches at relatives and friends, but they were unsuccessful.

“We do not have a suspect at this stage. Police are investigating to establish whether she willingly went to a place known to her or something happened her. We are appealing to people who might have seen or knows what happened to her to contact the local police,” said Constable Manamela.
