In a pivotal moment for the high-profile murder case of Kiernan Jarred Forbes, known as AKA, and his friend Tebello Motsoane (Tibz), two suspects, Mziwethemba Harvey Gwabeni and Lindokuhle Lindo Ndimande, found themselves back in the judicial spotlight as they appeared before the Durban Magistrates’ Court on Wednesday.
The pair, part of a five-man facing grave charges, made a bid for bail, arguing that new evidence presented in the previous week warranted their release.
However, Magistrate Vincent Hlatshwayo turned down their request, asserting that the details provided were not adequately groundbreaking to change their current detention status.
With this decision, Gwabeni and Ndimande remain behind bars as the intricate legal proceedings continue to unfold.
The case is slated to return to court on February 7, 2025, keeping the public’s keen interest alive in this gripping saga.
