The South African Kwaito group, Alaska have been rocked yet by another sad news after its legend, Thabo Tsotetsi passed away after being sick. The hitmaker made his name as part of the popular Kwaito group, Alaska.
According to sources close to the family, Thabo died after being admitted in serious condition to Bheki Mlangeni hospital in Jabulani, Soweto.
The news of his death spread throughout his neighbourhood in Meadowlands Zone 7 on Sunday monring.
Thabo’s passing , which rocked the group, follows the death of Les Ma-Ada in November 2013.
The exact cause of his death remains unclear, but sources said he was critically ill when he was admitted to hospital.
According to sources, Thabo will be remembered by Alaska’s popular song ‘Accuse’, which is widely regarded as one of the most iconic Kwaito group songs from the early 1990’s.
Accuse captures real-life neighborhood issues. In this song, Alaska sings about the house break-ins, robberies, and crimes that were prevalent in Ndofaya at that time.
