ANC calls for crackdown on illegal spaza shops: Mbalula advocates for deportation of undocumented foreigners

In a daring call to action, Fikile Mbalula, the Secretary General of the ANC, has advocated for the swift removal of undocumented foreigners running spaza shops and other activities throughout South Africa.

Speaking on Friday, he declared that these small enterprises, along with others within the broader economy, should be reserved solely for South African nationals.

Mbalula highlighted the critical need to safeguard spaza shops for local entrepreneurs, pointing out that goods sold by illegal immigrants are frequently cheap, low-quality and harmful, adding a called by locals to shut down these spaza  shop is not farfetched.

He implored South Africans to stay alert and report any unlawful activities to authorities.

“The deportation of these illegal foreigners is non-negotiable,” Mbalula asserted firmly.

He demanded the shutdown of spaza shops operated by undocumented individuals and emphasised the urgent necessity to eradicate illegal practices across the country.
