The African National Congress (ANC) Parliamentary Caucus is deeply saddened by the untimely passing of Member of Parliament Her Royal Highness Princess Sibuyiselwe Buthelezi, who died after a short illness.
According to ANC Parliamentary Caucus Chief Whip, Mdumiseni Ntuli, Princess Sibuyiselwe was a highly respected woman who held a position of great seniority in the community and Buthelezi clan.
“She was one of the most dedicated, humble servants of the people who stood firm in her convictions,” Ntuli said.
Princess Sibuyiselwe served as a Member of the Seventh Parliament until her demise and was held in high regard by those who knew her.
The ANC Caucus valued its cordial working relationship with the IFP and the Buthelezi family.
Ntuli extended heartfelt condolences to the Buthelezi family and the IFP, wishing them strength during this difficult time.
“Princess Sibuyiselwe’s passing is a huge loss to the Seventh Parliament and the communities she worked with. May her revolutionary soul Rest in Peace,” added Ntuli.
