The Department of Health reported 26 976 new COVID-19 cases during the last 24-hour reporting cycle.
Cumulatively, South Africa has detected 3 231 031 infections since the outbreak.
According to the department, 54 deaths have been reported, bringing the number of fatalities to 90 226.
The cumulative number of recoveries stands at 2 949 209, translating into a 91,3 percent recovery rate.
