The Democratic Alliance (DA) has welcomed the recommendation from the Parliament Joint Ethics Committee that Police Minister Bheki Cele apologise to the house for his ‘shut up’ outburst towards Ian Cameron.
However, the DA believes that Cele should also apologise to Cameron personally and in public, as he insulted him in a public setting.
DA National Spokesperson, Solly Malatsi has criticized Cele’s performance since his appointment in early 2018, stating that he has caused irreparable harm to the South African Police Service.
Malatsi has also criticized President Cyril Ramaphosa’s cabinet, calling it incompetent and disgraceful.
He believes that the ministers are fabricating lies, engaging in shameless looting of public funds, and failing to fulfill their basic duties.
Malatsi has called for competent leadership to take over and rescue the country from their disastrous reign.
