Delivery men turned robbers nabbed


Two of the five sus­pects want­ed in con­nec­tion with the rob­bery short­ly after they deliv­ered tyres at busi­ness premis­es in Lep­ha­lale in  Novem­ber last year were arrest­ed in Jeppestown, Johan­nes­burg at the week­end

Limpopo Police Spokesper­son, Colonel Moat­she Ngoepe con­firmed two sus­pects aged 30 and 55 will soon appear in the Lep­ha­lale Magistrate’s Court.

“It is alleged that five sus­pects robbed a cus­tomer a batch of tyres soon after they deliv­ered them at a busi­ness premis­es. The Police were noti­fied, and con­duct­ed the ini­tial inves­ti­ga­tions until two of the five sus­pects were traced and nabbed in Gaut­eng,” said Colonel Moat­she.

Colonel Moat­she said man­hunt for the remain­ing three sus­pects is still under­way.

The Act­ing Provin­cial police Com­mis­sion­er, Major Gen­er­al Jan Scheep­ers has com­mend­ed a joint oper­a­tion com­pris­ing crime intel­li­gent unit and detec­tives for the job well done.
