Economic Freedom Fighters in Tshwane declares war on City Manager Johann Mettler

In a bold and uncompromising statement, the Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) in Tshwane has declared war on city manager Johann Mettler, accusing him of corruption, mismanagement, and bullying tactics.

Mettler recently reprimanded municipal employees for their behaviour towards ousted mayor Cilliers Brink, attempting to silence criticism and intimidate workers who dare to challenge the status quo.

In a statement, the EFF has firmly rejected Mettler’s attempts to hold employees accountable for expressing dissatisfaction, labeling his actions as dictatorial and unacceptable.

The party asserts that workers have the right to voice their concerns and hold their leaders accountable without fear of retribution.

They have warned Mettler that his days are numbered, and the power dynamics in Tshwane will soon shift in favor of the people.

The spotlight has been shifted onto Mettler’s role in the gross corruption and mismanagement revealed in the Auditor General’s report, with staggering figures of irregular expenditures, unauthorized expenditures, and suspicious transactions involving millions of rands.

The EFF has accused Mettler of exploiting public resources for personal gain and neglecting the well-being of the community he was entrusted to serve.

Furthermore, the EFF has dismissed Mettler’s accusations of mistreatment and abuse towards Brink as baseless and hypocritical, citing his own track record of corruption and unethical behavior.

The party has vowed to continue fighting for accountability and justice for the people of Tshwane, ensuring that corrupt officials like Mettler are removed from positions of power.

The EFF  has called on Mettler to cease his bullying tactics and focus on serving the residents of the city with integrity and transparency.

The party has vowed to stand in solidarity with workers and hold corrupt officials accountable for their actions, signaling a new era of accountability and transparency in the City of Tshwane.
