Father’s pain: “If no repent, vengeance of God awaits”

In light of the discovery that the charred body in Thabo Bester’s jail cell belonged to his  son, missing Katlego Bereng , his father, Batho Mpholo, was full of grief and sobbing.

He called on Dr. Nandipha Makudumana and Bester to repent for their crimes.

“My message to them is one – if they do not repent of their actions, they will face the vengeance of God,” Mpholo said in an interview with  Newzroom Africa, adding that this was too much.

“The body Bester burned in prison is my son,” he tweeted.

The government has failed us. My heart is broken,” Mpholo said.

The police have officially notified Monica Matsie, the deceased’s mother from Bloemfontein, that the DNA test results had been returned, and confirmed the body as their missing son. The two accused, who were arrested in Tanzania, are now being charged with forgery, fraud, theft, murder and uttering,

Meanwhile, SABC reports that legal counsel representing renowned Dr. Mmereka Ntshani, affectionately known as “Dr Pashy”, has initiated legal action against Magudumana and TK Nkwana, alias Thabo Bester, for forgery, fraud, theft, and uttering.

Upon their arrest in Tanzania, the Home Affairs Minister,Aaron Motswaledi  confirmed  Magudumana was  found in possession of the travel documents belonging to Ntshani.

Magudumana and the other co-accused will be making their next court appearance in the Bloemfontein Magistrate’s Court on  May 3-4.
