Former President Zuma accuses ‘President Ramaphosa of breaching NPA laws’

President Cyril Ramaphosa has been charged in a private prosecution allegedly for being accessory after the fact to crimes committed by Advocate Billy Downer, namely, breaching the laws of the National Prosecuting Authority, according to JG Zuma Foundation.

In a brief statement on Thursday night, JG Zuma Foundation Spokesperson, Mzwanele Manyi said former President Jacob Zuma instituted the private prosecution in the South Gauteng High Court in Johannesburg.

According to Manyi, Ramaphosa was charged with serious crimes in a court of law that carry a 15-year sentence.

Manyi said President Ramaphosa is expected to make his first appearance in court on January 19, 2023.
