The new Kia Pegas is a car that inspires and offers freedom for value-conscious families and first-time customers.
It combines space and technology to produce a car that inspires and enables independence.
It helps people meet their daily requirements while also allowing them to pursue their goals in a seamless manner. Is there anything more satisfying than having a lot of room to move around?
This product is a class leader thanks to its premium design and class-leading functionality.
The Pegas is one of the largest cars in the A/B class, at 4,300 mm in length, although it is still small enough to fit through city traffic.
It has a wide boot and a long (2,570 mm) wheelbase, so both front and back passengers will have plenty of room.
The new Kia Pegas is available in five exterior colours: Clear White, Titanium Silver, Blue Stream, Marcato Red and Aurora Black Pearl.
The striking designs of Kia automobiles are well-known. The wide, horizontal ‘face’ of the Pegas gives it a sporty, sturdy appearance, and it includes the ‘tiger nose’ grille, which is a DNA hallmark shared by all Kia cars.
Despite being positioned in the bargain sector, the sedan has a noticeably premium appearance, thanks to chrome highlights and 14-inch alloy wheels on higher trim levels.
The interior of the Pegas is a welcoming place to be, with plenty of room to stretch out and creative embellishments.
It comes standard with a 7.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system that includes a reverse camera with dynamic guidelines across the entire range (along with rear park-distance control sensors).
The system has a USB port in addition to Bluetooth, a USB port, and cable connectivity to Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. It is controlled by switches on the steering wheel, which are operated safely and without the use of one’s hands.
The interior of the Pegas is decorated with either smart fabric or high-quality artificial leather, depending on the model grade, and all variants include cupholders and a centre armrest for the driver.
For even more comfort, the side mirrors and windows can be adjusted electrically across the entire range. With 475 litres of cargo space, compact sedans have the largest boots in the class.
The Pegas is powered by Kia’s 1.4-litre multi-point injection petrol engine, which produces 69 kW at 6,000 r/min and 132 Nm at 4,000 r/min. The engine drives the front wheels and is paired with either a five-speed manual transmission or a four-speed automatic transmission.
The new Kia Pegas delivers a winning combination of value, roominess, safety, and technology that will appeal to both first-time car purchasers and families looking for the most bang for their money.
“With great connectivity features and comprehensive safety specifications, the Pegas ticks all the boxes while offering maximum value,” said Gary Scott, CEO of Kia South Africa.
“There’s lots of life in the compact sedan market and the Pegas is poised to draw young families and first-time buyers to the Kia brand.”
