Manhunt underway for suspect in execution-style shooting in Limpopo

Limpopo police have launched a manhunt for a suspect wanted in connection with the execution-style shooting of a 34-year-old man outside his gate in Ntwane Maswikaneng village, Dennilton, on Wednesday morning.

According to Limpopo Police Spokesperson Brigadier Motlafela Mojapelo, the victim was driving home shortly after midnight in a vehicle when he was shot at point blank range in front of his home gate.

He stated that police officers on patrol responded to a complaint of a shooting incident and discovered the victim in a pool of blood inside his Toyota Avanza.

Lieutenant General Hadebe, the commissioner of the Limpopo Police, stated: “These killers must be tracked down until they are arrested and held accountable.”

“This incident has evidently sent shockwaves through the regional populace and I want to guarantee everyone that the Police are doing all they can to identify the murderers. As was the case with the Mokopane incident in which two people were slain at close range while seated in a car, the suspects were ultimately taken into custody. Similarly, the culprits in this incident will also be apprehended. Lt Gen Hadebe.

The motive for the incident, according to Brigadier Mojapelo, would be determined by the ongoing investigations.
