The uMkhonto weSizwe Party Youth League (MKPYL) Interim Core has spoken out against rogue elements within its ranks, vowing to defend the organisation’s integrity.
According to Head of Media and Communications, Nkateko Makhabela, the Youth League has maintained a disciplined silence while focusing on unity and progress.
However, said the Youth League, continued actions of former leaders Bonginkosi Khanyile and Minenhle Cibane, who were officially removed on April 9, 2024, have forced the MKPYL to take a stand.
‘These individuals have persisted in setting up programs and speaking at events without formal deployment, defying the organization’s principles and undermining the MKPYL,’ Makhabela stated.
The MKPYL will no longer tolerate the spread of propaganda and misinformation by these individuals and their associates, including Party Twitter administrators.
‘We call on the uMkhonto weSizwe Party leadership to intervene immediately to prevent a chaotic revolt within both the MKP and MKPYL,’ Makhabela emphasised.
The MKPYL remains committed to the revolution and its values, fighting for unity, progress, and rightful youth representation within the MK Party.
‘We have been quiet for far too long… The time has come to stand firm and defend the integrity of our organization. We will not allow self-serving agendas to derail our progress.’ – Nkateko Makhabela, MKPYL Head of Media and Communication
