Last updated on 2022-12-30

The KwaZulu Natal African National Congress (ANC) Secretary ,Bheki Mtolo has dismissed as fake the purported letter allegedly written by provincial chairperson, Thabang Mdletshe, which suggested that President Cyril Ramaphosa, Bejani Chauke and Gwede Mantashe bought votes during the recently held 55th ANC National Elective Conference at Nasrec, outside Soweto.

“We spoke to Mdletshe and he denied any knowledge nor the author of the fake letter,” said Mtolo.

Speaking to SABC news on Wednesday Mtolo emphatically denied any knowledge of the letter, describing it as “fake and fraudulent,” and vehemently saying  it was written by nefarious forces with the sole aim of destabilizing the ANC and undermining the legitimacy of  Ramaphosa’s democratically-elected president.
