Police launch manhunt to find grisly murderers of two boys in Soweto

Police have condemned in the strongest possible terms the gruesome murders of two boys whose mutilated bodies were found dumped in separate areas in Soweto

Police spokesperson Colonel Dimakatso Nevhuhulwi said both children’s bodies were discovered in White City and Rockville on Thursday morning, respectively.

Colonel Nevhuhulwi confirmed two boys were reported missing at Moroka police station on Wednesday night.

Police said they have  mobilised resources following the gruesome murder of two children aged five and six in Soweto.

“A search team involving all relevant stakeholders including search and rescue was activated. This morning the lifeless bodies of the victims were found mutilated. One was discovered in White City, while the other was uncovered in Rockville,” said Colonel Nevhuhulwi.

Gauteng Police Commissioner of the police in, Lieutenant General Elias Mawela has appealed to anyone who may have information about this incident to please report it to the police

Lieutenant General Elias Mawela condemns these gruesome murders in the strongest terms. “It is so disheartening and disgraceful to see a small number of innocent lives being lost in this hideous manner. It cannot be that no one saw or heard anything. We are appealing to anyone who has information about this incident to please report it to the police,” said Lt Gen Mawela.
