South Africa has reported 146 new cases of COVID-19 in the last 24-hour period, bringing the total to 2 919 778.
In all, the Department of Health has confirmed 9 people have died due COVID-19, bringing the cumulative death toll to 88 934.
The cumulative number of recoveries now stands at 2 811 928, with a recuperation rate still at 96,3 percent.
