South Africa has reported 3 572 860 COVID-19 cases, with 3 962 new cases confirmed in the last 24-hour period.
According to the National Department of Health (NDoH), 139 new deaths have been reported, bringing the total to 93,846 since the outbreak of the pandemic.
The department says there may be a backlog of COVID-19 fatalities due to the ongoing audit.
The total number of recoveries now stands at 3 394 527, with a 95% recovery rate.
