Democratic Alliance leader, John Steenhuisen, emphasised the importance of finding inner focus and energy to make history on May 29.
He urged DA supporters to stay energised in order to rewrite the story of South Africa by defeating the African National Congress (ANC) for the first time and electing a new national government anchored by a strong DA.
Addressing thousands of DA supporters attending its final campaign trail at Belhar,in the Western Cape on Saturday, Steenhuisen highlighted the seriousness of the upcoming elections and the need for every individual to actively participate.
He cautioned that the Western Cape, while currently functioning well, is not immune to corruption and decline seen in other provinces, especially due to the coalition of corruption between the ANC, the Economic Freedom Fighters, and the Patriotic Alliance.
He warned that if voters stay at home or split the DA’s vote among small parties, it could lead to the Western Cape ceasing to function effectively.
