Stylish Audi RS 6 Avant and RS 7 Sportback heading to our shores

Glitzy and iconic fourth-generation Audi RS 6 Avant and the magnificent second-generation Audi RS7 Sportback will be on sale in South Africa from 1 April 2021.

The new Audi RS 6 Avant body style segments are unique and a proof appealing the moment you lay your eyes on the vehicle when stationary.

Besides the new bonnet along with the electric dome, the high-performance models adopt a flatter, sportier headlight that provides HD Matrix LED headlights with Audi laser light and dark moldings as a standard feature.

The dynamic rear includes a roof lip spoiler and a specific RS bumper with a rear diffuser and high-gloss black design elements.

Avant’s signature silhouette dominates the side view of the RS 6 – elongated front section roofline, and flat pillars D, resting on the Quattro’s blisters.

Specific RS thresholds with black inserts emphasize the pronounced thrust on the flanks.

The dynamic rear includes a roof lip spoiler and a specific RS bumper with a rear diffuser and high-gloss black design elements.

In signature RS styling, the RS exhaust system flows on both sides to chrome-coloured oval tailpipes, and RS sports exhaust system with black tailpipes as standard.

Audi RS 6 Avant

Designers took their cue from the front-end of the Audi R8 supercar.

The RS exhaust system boast large, chrome-coloured oval tailpipe on each side, sits under an RS-specific bumper with a rear diffuser and high-gloss black design elements.

V8 power: the drive system

The new Audi RS 6 Avant and RS 7 Sportback 4.0 TFSI produces 441 kW and delivers 800 Nm torque within 2,050 to 4,500 rpm.range.

Depending on the driving situation and the Audi drive select settings, the vehicle will regain energy or slow down with the engine off.

The Audi drive selects a dynamic management system that allows you to adjust the audible growl of the engine.

Agility: the suspension

On new performance models, the front and rear axles use a five-link design manage induced longitudinal and transverse forces.

Sporty and futuristic: the interior Clean looks with sporty accents are key styling cues in the interior of the new Audi RS 6 Avant and RS 7 Sportback.

RS 7 Sportback

The Audi virtual cockpit is available as standard on both these high-performance models and features the RS Performance and Sport layouts.

The Audi virtual cockpit plus is available as an option and features new layout called RS Runway.

Special displays RS uses Audi’s virtual cockpit to provide details of tire pressure, torque, performance, oil temperature, boost pressure, lap times, acceleration, and G-forces.

Logo projectors on the front and rear doors project the Audi Sport emblem when the doors are open.

For the first time, Audi offers the five-door grand tourer with a three-seater rear bench seat.

For the new high-performance models, Audi offers a wide range of comfort, connectivity, and driver assistance features.

With a range of assistance systems available which include lane change assistance, parking aid package, tourist assistance package, and the Audi pre sense rear pack.

The diverse range of exclusive Audi offers additional possibilities for color customization.

Both front spoiler; side flaps sill inlays, window slot trims; rear diffuser; and the exterior mirror housings can all fall under one of three sets of Matte Aluminum Style, Black Style, or Carbon / Gloss Black packages.

Upon request, Audi rings and RS logos front and rear are available in gloss black for the black and carbon/gloss black styling packages.

The innovative and  features of Audi connect are available on RS 6 Avant and RS 7 Sportback.

It features a built-in SIM and an extensive Audi connect portfolio.

Audi connects functionality includes Car2X services which consist of standard safety and service features in the event of damage, breakdowns, or minor accidents.

This functionality enables an emergency service or security call to an Audi call center for assistance in any event.

Local pricing and availability

The new Audi RS 6 Avant and RS 7 Sportback will officially go on sale in South Africa from 1 April 2021.

The RS models are priced as follows and comes standard with a five-year Audi Freeway Plan:
