The All-New Qashqai: A car that enhances driving pleasure

Nissan South Africa will consolidate its position as a market leader in the local crossover class later this month with the launch of the all-new, third-generation Qashqai segment.

The previous two generations defined the national crossover market in South Africa and raised the bar with each edition.

“We are delighted to welcome the new edition of the Qashqai family as part of the Nissan Next Transformation Plan in our region,” said Stefan Haasbroek, Nissan Africa Marketing Director.

Haasbroek said the carmaker is confident this model will change the game and provide our consumers with the driving experience they have come to appreciate fourteen years after the founding of the Nissan crossover industry.

“We are thrilled to unveil the completely redesigned interior and exterior, innovative technologies and electrified power supply to our consumers and on our streets,” he said.

Traveling in the brand new Qashqai

Nissan hosted an exclusive influencer journey through the Garden Route as part of the launch celebrations. As a prelude to the launch of the all-new Qashqai, actress Zola Nombona and director Thomas Gumede were able to highlight their experience with the car, emphasizing high-quality workmanship, integrating technology to enhance driving pleasure and the new bold look.

The propulsion options of the all-new Qashqai meet the needs of every customer, with a 1.3T engine, manual transmissions or new Xtronic and driving pleasure at the centre.

Crossover redefined to win your heart

The new Alliance CMF-C platform forms the foundation of the all-new Nissan Qashqai, resulting in a vehicle that successfully meets customers’ requirements in terms of design, space, dynamics and environmental impact.

Nissan has redesigned the steering configuration on the top of the new platform to reduce the feeling of friction through the steering wheel and to make the straight more positive and defined.

One of the key elements of driving dynamics performance is the Qashqai’s overall increase in body stiffness. The all-new Qashqai will have improved precision, response and vibration reduction thanks to finely tuned suspension springs and damping rates.

The e-POWER technology will be available to South African motorists in early 2023.
