The BMW 4 Series Coupe recently set the fastest lap times ever for a BMW series car while testing at the historic Nürburgring Nordschleife.

With its reduced race ability, the BMW 4 Series Coupé is underpinned by a concept that combines the latest developments in vehicle engineering with the latest technology to create compelling end results.

A combination of advancements in strength and race car engineering has enabled the BMW Group to reduce the weight of its DIN-model vehicles to 1,625 kilograms- a record that has never before been achieved by any manufacturer.

BMW’s M4 CSL’s decreased race capability is due to a tried-and-true approach that combines cutting-edge development expertise with the latest technology to achieve an attractive end result.

With innovative strength and racing car know-how, BMW M GmbH kept the weight of specially developed DIN vehicles under 1,625 kilograms.

M carbon bucket seats alone weigh around 24 kg less than BMW M4 Competition Coupe seats.

The ultra-lightweight carbon-ceramic brakes and chassis improvements, such as special light-alloy wheels, springs, and struts, further reduced the car’s weight by 21 kg. The roof, bonnet, boot lid, and center console of the BMW M4 CSL are all constructed of CFRP, a lightweight high-tech material.

Its exterior paint has model-specific details and is unique. The BMW M4 CSL is available in three exclusive colours, that is Frozen Brooklyn Ringley Metallic, Alpine White Uni, or Sapphire Black Metallic.

The two indentations on the hood are the most obvious evidence of the carbon fibre construction on the body panel.

A red accent line highlights the two fins on the roof of the new BMW M4 CSL, the curves of the side skirts, the black BMW model logo, and the CFRP splitter on the front apron.

BMW Laser Lights: Yellow headlamps and innovative rear lights. Further enhancing the new BMW M4 CSL’s front end are the standard BMW Laserlight headlamps.

When you unlock the doors and turn on the low and high beams, these headlights become amber instead of white, giving it the look of a successful GT racing car.

It is the first time that LED rear lights have been used in a mass-produced vehicle.

BMW M4 CSL’s model-specific engine is based on a high-performance 6-cylinder engine with MTwin Power Turbo technology from the BMW M4 GT3 race car.

The BMW M4 CSL’s engine develops 650 Nm of maximum torque at 2, 7505,950 rpm.
