The DA’s quest to uncover the truth behind the Phala Phala crime cover-up

The National Assembly is scheduled to debate the Democratic Alliance (DA) motion to form an ad hoc committee to investigate alleged thefts at President Cyril Ramaphosa’s Phala Phala game farm at 11am today.

DA Leader John Steenhuisen, the party’s Chief Whip Siviwe Gwarube, and its Shadow Deputy Minister of Justice and Correctional Services Werner Horn said they would use this debate in Parliament to call for an ad hoc committee to investigate the alleged cover-up of the Phala Phala crime by various government departments and agencies.

“This is an opportunity for all parties in Parliament to act beyond party interests, to call for accountability, and to strengthen the role of Parliament in matters of national importance,” Gwarube said.
