Metallic speaker accents and metallic vent finishes, as well as elements like the metallic rotary dials, demonstrate the luxury interior’s focus on materials.
Hidden-until-lit switches and metal gearshift paddles are featured on a new steering wheel inspired by the all-electric I-PACE performance SUV.
An embossed Jaguar Leaper on the headrests adds to the attention to detail, while ‘Est.1935 Jaguar Coventry’ upholstery tags pay homage to the brand’s history and heritage.
Jaguar animal print pattern in the central cubby area and in front of the drive selector are additional information.
The exterior has been updated
New all-LED headlights with ‘Double J’ Daytime Running Light (DRL) signatures are available with optional Pixel LED technology for improved resolution and brightness at the front.
New side fender vents feature the classic Leaper symbol, while a new grille mesh style with diamond detailing is inspired by the Jaguar heritage logo and features a contemporary Noble Chrome finish.
A mesh insert has been added to the rear bumper, which sits between the integrated tail pipes that come standard on four-cylinder gasoline engines.
Horizontal blade finishers on all other engine derivatives have been slimmed down.
The all-LED rear lights, inspired by the all-electric I-PACE, feature Jaguar’s chicane graphic, highlighting the advanced technology and modernity of the overall design.
New E-PACE features a set of performance-focused design elements when specified in purposeful R-Dynamic trim, and all models are available with the Black Exterior Pack, which adds even more dynamic styling with bespoke elements finished in Narvik Black.
Four engine options
The new member of the modular, versatile Ingenium engine family, a 1.5-litre three-cylinder petrol engine, is available in the E-PACE with plug-in hybrid (PHEV) technology.
This lightweight new aluminium provides high performance and refinement with low levels of friction, contributing to excellent efficiency and fuel consumption. It saves 33 kg over the four-cylinder.
The exhaust manifold is built into the aluminium cylinder head, which contributes to faster warm-up times and better engine reaction by reducing the gap between the exhaust ports and the turbocharger’s turbine wheel.
The P300e PHEV’s powertrain incorporates a 147kW 1.5-litre three-cylinder Ingenium petrol engine with an 80kW Electric Rear Axle Drive (ERAD) motor for a total output of 227kW/540Nm and a 0-100 km/h time of 6.5 seconds. CO2 emissions start at 44 grams per kilometre, and the fuel economy is as low as 2.0 litres per 100 kilometres (WLTP TEH combined)*.
A 15kWh lithium-ion battery hidden underneath the boot floor powers the lightweight ERAD motor. The latest all-wheel drive P300e will complete the average daily commute of 30.2km in EV mode without needing to recharge** when completely powered.
The new E-PACE also comes with a new 2.0-litre four-cylinder Ingenium diesel engine and a new 2.0-litre four-cylinder Ingenium petrol engine, both with AWD and nine-speed automatic transmissions.
The 147kW D200 2.0-litre four-cylinder diesel engine produces 430Nm and is equipped with a number of advanced engine technologies to improve refinement and efficiency, including friction-reducing steel pistons for the first time, as well as a variable vane turbocharger and a new 2,500 bar piezo common rail injection system that delivers even finer control of fuel delivered into the cylinders to maximize efficiency.
The 2.0-litre four-cylinder Ingenium petrol engine comes in two power outputs, with the P250 variant delivering 184kW/365Nm and accelerating from 0 to 100 km/h in 7.5 seconds. The 221kW/400Nm P300 model, which is only available in the E-PACE 300 SPORT, is at the top of the petrol engine lineup. The top-of-the-line 300 SPORT accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 6.9 seconds and reaches a top speed of 241 km/h.
It comes with a 20-inch five-spoke diamond-turned with black accent wheels, a Black Exterior Pack, and a powered tailgate, and is available in all exterior colours. On the inside, the 300 SPORT is distinguished by illuminated Jaguar treadplates, Meridian Audio, Ebony Suedecloth headlining, and R-Dynamic Taurus Sport seats in Ebony, Cloud, or Deep Garnet.
Jaguar Drive Control is standard on all E-PACE models, with Comfort, Eco, and Dynamic modes that the driver can choose manually depending on road conditions. The calibrations for the E-steering, PACE’s transmission, throttle, and (when specified) Adaptive Damping are adjusted through a toggle switch next to the new Drive Selector.
By tracking the surface conditions every tenth of a second and responding within half a second, the new Adaptive Surface Response mode, which replaces Rain-Ice-Snow mode, automatically determines the most suitable of three separate settings.
Linked innovations that are cutting-edge
The new Pivi Pro infotainment technology is accessed through a new 11.4-inch HD touchscreen with curved glass that is three times brighter and 48 percent larger than the previous panel. Up to 90% of popular tasks can be accessed or viewed from the home screen in two taps or less, thanks to simplified menu structures.
Pivi Pro has its own dedicated power source for almost instantaneous start-up, so navigation is ready as soon as the driver gets behind the wheel, and the embedded apps have complete functionality even without your smartphone.
Google and Microsoft Outlook calendar integration allows the driver to view job diaries and even join important calls using the hands-free app.
Customers can download and install software updates without having to visit a Jaguar store thanks to advanced SOTA connectivity. Customers are alerted by a warning detachment when updates are downloaded in the background.
A new 12.3-inch HD Interactive Driver Display with improved graphics and a configurable interface complements the central 11.4-inch touchscreen. It can show full-screen navigation mapping with turn-by-turn directions, digital dials, media, contact list, or infotainment information.
The interactive driver display works with the new generation full colour TFT Head-up Display, which is clearer, has a larger information area, and has improved resolution.
Cabin Air Ionisation improves interior air quality by using Nanoe technology to eliminate allergens and unwanted odours. It is enabled by pressing the ‘Purify’ button on the touchscreen. PM2.5 filtration is used in the advanced method to capture ultra-fine particles, including PM2.5 particulates.
A wearable of the second generation, Activity Key can be used to lock, unlock, and start the vehicle without requiring the use of a traditional key fob. The rechargeable unit comes with a watch and has a seven-day battery life between charges.
Jaguar’s ClearSight Interior Rear View Mirror technology is also standard on the latest E-PACE, ensuring an unobstructed view of the road ahead. The machine feeds images to a high-definition screen inside the frameless rear view mirror through a wide-angle rear-facing camera, which is unaffected by tall rear passengers, bad lighting, or rain on the rear screen.
When manoeuvering the car, the new 3D Surround Camera technology provides real-time viewing options such as Junction View, 3D Perspective View, and ClearSight Plan View.
Jaguar’s Driver Condition Monitor system will sense when the driver is becoming drowsy and warn them to take a break.
To detect signs of fatigue, the system uses inputs from thousands of data points, some of which are calculated every one thousandth of a second – such as steering, pedal inputs, and general driving behaviour.
