The Swedish luxury brand is bringing its new Vovo XC60 to South Africa during the first quarter of 2022, the carmaker confirmed on Thursday.
Since 2009, Volvo Cars’ XC60 has been the company’s number one selling vehicle, reaching 1.68 million units sold worldwide by 2020.
It sold 200,000 units, making it the best-selling model in South Africa.
According to the Managing Director at Volvo Car South Africa, Greg Maruszewski, XC60 is best-seller now smarter than ever.
Many of the new XC60 major changes are under the skin, with several subtle refinements exterior design, including new grille, front bumpers and exterior colour including wheel options.
Maruszewski said this smart, next-generation infotainment provides customers with unmatched personalization and connectivity.
“The software runs Google Maps for navigation, Google Play for music, and Google Assistant for hands-free help. It is best technological innovation that improves safety. Drivers can use Google Assistant to get things done with their voice while keeping their eyes on the road,” he explains.
Swedish carmaker says Volvo is the first company to partner with Google to integrate an infotainment powered by Android, including Google apps and services.
The software runs apps such as Google Maps for navigation and Google Play for music, and provides hands-free help through Google Assistant.
Software updates the car’s infotainment features from maintenance and whole new features over the air.
It updates the car and other digital products, including smartphones and tablets.
Other subtle variations and major changes are under the skin.
