Tiger Wheel & Tyre implements hygiene protocols

In a bid to prevent the spread of coronavirus (COVID-19), a leading retail wheel and tyre fitment chain says it has implemented hygiene protocols at all its stores,

In a statement on Wednesday, Tiger Wheel & Tyre, Southern Africa announced it has equipped managers and employees with the tools and information to carry out hygiene protocols in all high-contact areas throughout its stores.

Tiger Wheel & Tyre, TiAuto Marketing Executive, Farishta Singh said they have rolled emergency kits comprising manual hand sanitizer dispensers and sanitising spray in all their fitment centres.

“For the safety of our customers and employees, the key to minimising the risk of spreading COVID-19 is to clean all high-contact areas.

I believe we’ll look back on this and realise it was the little things that made the biggest difference. Washing door handles and cleaning countertops, keeping our distance, and washing our hands, and the speed with which we manage the situation,” said Singh.

Singh said Tiger Wheel & Tyre employees commit to practice good hygiene, with frequent and thorough hand washing.

“We instructed those who are sick to stay home. Employees who have a fever or who become sick while at work will go home to seek medical attention.

“There is nothing of greater or more pressing concern to us than the health and wellbeing of customers and employees. It is our priority, and we’ll work to provide as clean and safe environment for their safety,” added Singh.
