Considering the worldwide coronavirus travel ban, Tintswalo Lodges are offering a 2-night stay at all its properties for locals at discount prices, including a 50% reduction for self-drive travel until July 31, 2020.

The properties include Tintswalo Atlantic in Cape Town, Tintswalo Lapalala and the new Tintswalo Family Camp at Welgevonden, and Tintswalo Safari Lodge in the greater Kruger region.

The lodges boast child-friendly accommodation options, making them ideal destinations for families to spend quality time together during the introduced extended school breaks.

Tintswalo Chief Executive Officer, Lisa Goosen said the small and exclusive luxury lodges are in an idyllic, remote locations close to nature where there are no crowds, adding that clean, fresh air affords guests the opportunity to escape, connect with nature and relax in a stress-free natural environment.

She said Tintswalo properties offer sanctuary to humans and wildlife alike.

Goosen said while the South African tourism industry has been hard hit by enforcing cancellations from international tourists because of the ban on air travel and the global and to delay overseas travel plans, locals don’t have options.

“This has created the opportunity to offer deals to locals wanting to escape some frenzy experienced in cities and populated areas, to enjoy a restful break with loved ones at some of South Africa’s top bucket-list destinations,” said Goosen.

She said to make sure guests are safety, Tintswalo staff receives briefings and proper training while lodges have prevention action plans to minimise the risk of Covid-19 contamination.

“Staff at the properties are regularly sanitising guest’s rooms and communal areas including kitchens and we are providing guests with sanitation products,” added Goosen.

Vacation deals for 2-night stay for two at Tintswalo Atlantic start at R10 850, including breakfast and afternoon snacks.

Safari deals at Tintswalo Lapalala in the Waterberg including all meals, daily game drives for a 2-night stay for a family of four, including 2 children under the age of 16 start at R26 000.
