Tintswalo launches deals to combat COVID-19 disruption

Con­sid­er­ing the world­wide coro­n­avirus trav­el ban, Tintswa­lo Lodges are offer­ing a 2‑night stay at all its prop­er­ties for locals at dis­count prices, includ­ing a 50% reduc­tion for self-dri­ve trav­el until July 31, 2020.

The prop­er­ties include Tintswa­lo Atlantic in Cape Town, Tintswa­lo Lapalala and the new Tintswa­lo Fam­i­ly Camp at Wel­gevon­den, and Tintswa­lo Safari Lodge in the greater Kruger region.

The lodges boast child-friend­ly accom­mo­da­tion options, mak­ing them ide­al des­ti­na­tions for fam­i­lies to spend qual­i­ty time togeth­er dur­ing the intro­duced extend­ed school breaks.

Tintswa­lo Chief Exec­u­tive Offi­cer, Lisa Goosen said the small and exclu­sive lux­u­ry lodges are in an idyl­lic, remote loca­tions close to nature where there are no crowds, adding that clean,fresh air affords guests the oppor­tu­ni­ty to escape, con­nect with nature and relax in a stress-free nat­ur­al envi­ron­ment.

She said Tintswa­lo prop­er­ties offer sanc­tu­ary to humans and wildlife alike.

Goosen said while the South African tourism indus­try has been hard hit by enforc­ing can­cel­la­tions from inter­na­tion­al tourists because of the ban on air trav­el and the glob­al and to delay over­seas trav­el plans, locals don’t have options.

“This has cre­at­ed the oppor­tu­ni­ty to offer deals to locals want­i­ng to escape some fren­zy expe­ri­enced in cities and pop­u­lat­ed areas, to enjoy a rest­ful break with loved ones at some of South Africa’s top buck­et-list des­ti­na­tions,” said Goosen.

She said to make sure guests are safe­ty, Tintswa­lo staff receives brief­in­gs and prop­er train­ing while lodges have pre­ven­tion action plans to min­imise the risk of Covid-19 con­t­a­m­i­na­tion.

“Staff at the prop­er­ties are reg­u­lar­ly sani­tis­ing guest’s rooms and com­mu­nal areas includ­ing kitchens and we are pro­vid­ing guests with san­i­ta­tion prod­ucts,” added Goosen.

Vaca­tion deals for 2‑night stay for two at Tintswa­lo Atlantic start at R10 850, includ­ing break­fast and after­noon snacks.

Safari deals at Tintswa­lo Lapalala in the Water­berg includ­ing all meals, dai­ly game dri­ves for a 2‑night stay for a fam­i­ly of four, includ­ing 2 chil­dren under the age of 16 start at R26 000.

Reser­va­tions at Tintswa­lo Manor House at Manyelethi Reserve is avail­able at a spe­cial Stay­ca­tion rate of R63 000 per 2‑night for a group of 10 peo­ple, includ­ing all meals and safari activ­i­ties.

It cost R65 000 for 10 peo­ple per 2‑night for the takeover at Tintswa­lo Fam­i­ly Camp at Wel­gevon­den Game Reserve.
