The Institute of Public Accuracy (IPA) highlighted recent reports documenting escalating violence in Gaza and Pope Francis unflinching critique of Israel military campaign.
According to IPA, AntiWar.com reported that Israeli airstrikes killed 38 Palestinians within 24 hours, while far-right National Security Minister Itamar Ben Gvir claimed U.S. Republican allies endorsed his proposal to bomb Gaza food supplies.
“They expressed support for my very clear position… the food and aid warehouses should be bombed to create military and political pressure,” Ben Gvir stated.
Haaretz reported new killing of aid workers in Gaza, alleging Israeli troops fired indiscriminately for over three minutes, with some shots delivered at point-blank range.
Meanwhile, FAIR analysis criticised mainstream obituaries of Pope Francis for downplaying his advocacy for Palestine.
The late pontiff had explicitly condemned Israel actions in Gaza, stating in a 2024 book: “What is happening… has the characteristics of a genocide. It should be investigated.”
In his final Christmas message, Pope Francis lamented the bombing of children, declaring, “This is cruelty, this is not war.”
He maintained daily contact with Gaza Church of the Holy Family during the war, calling parishioners sheltering there up to five times daily during intense bombardments.
On Easter Sunday—hours before his death—he urged an immediate ceasefire, hostage releases, and aid for Gaza starving population, framing peace as a moral imperative.
