Botswana President calls for ANC-EFF coalition sparks social media heated debate

In a controversial intervention, Botswana President Duma Boko has called on South Africa’s ruling African National Congress (ANC) party to form a coalition with the Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) to prevent the “rise of Hitler” in the region.

Duma, posted on social media on Wednesday, stated: “The ANC and EFF are going to have to come together, strike compromises to prevent the rise of Hitler in our region.”

This plea from the Botswana leader has sparked a fierce debate on social media, with many South African users rejecting the idea outright.

SAn stallion..🇿🇦 commented: “Nothing will come from the coalition between the ANC, EFF, and the MKP. Remember, two of those leaders were once the ANC’s top leaders in the organization; the question should be, ‘What will be different now if they form a coalition government?’ Blacks are still suffering.”

Sizwe SikaMusi echoed this sentiment, saying: “What would happen under a non-existing coalition is just speculation. What’s not speculation is what’s ‘coming out’ of the ANC/DA/IFP/FF+ coalition, which is, as you put it: ‘Blacks are still suffering’.”

Mtshepana🇿🇦 went even further, describing the proposed coalition as “a criminal enterprise and a cult coming together” and stating: “That will be the end of SA.”

Tinashe D Chinomona criticized Duma’s approach, saying: “We do not expect a man in his position to be this slow, what is the purpose of telling everyone he can knock on any door to give his input, but he found it more attractive to sound like a hero.

That’s unpresidential, he needs to slow down.”

SmoothTalker added: “Funders sees no colour, EFF and ANC must stop accepting money from the same Hitler. You can’t eat money of Hitler and tell people not to associate themselves with Hitler.”

Azania went even further, questioning Duma’s motives: “Who the hell does he think he is? Commenting on South African politics… but he will cry once a South African politician does the same with Botswana.

This guy likes to portray himself like some kind of Intellectual and a nobody.”

CharleyBoi simply asked: “Hitler in the region, hhmmm.? Zimbabweans, where you at?

South Africa is Back expressed skepticism, saying: “You can have ANC and EFF in Botswana.”

Morgan urged South Africans to “wake up and march together,” stating: “there’s no institution well established in Africa than SOUTH AFRICA please protect the entire continent.”

Ma’am, on the other hand, criticised the current crop of leaders, saying: “Cupcake, Juju and Zuma are evil as they became multimillionaires and billionaires in private jets sipping champagne before providing water.

We need a new generation of leaders. DA will never deny its white constituency basics. Blacks of this generation hate each other.”

phama acknowledged the complexities, noting: “But still in the midst of it all.

This doesn’t change the fact that the Colonial Powers wants the ANC to cease to exist.

Something similar to how the PAC was disappeared in RSA political life.

Duma himself comes from a long list of Oppenheimer most loyal lieutenants.”

Taisa P Tshuma proposed a “Pretoria Federation” as a solution, suggesting “One country with 33 federated states for southern Africa” and a “Super Coalition.”

Mtho, however, was more pessimistic about the ANC, stating: “The ANC is a lost cause.

It was infiltrated in 1991 (July Durban Conference). But the authentic ANC soldiered on despite being derailed by Apartheid and Oppenheimer agents.

After 2017 Conference, and especially after February 2018; the ANC is a zombie. It will never be ANC again.”

As the debate continues, the region watches closely to see how South Africa’s political landscape will evolve in the face of the “Hitler” threat that Duma has warned about.
