In an unexpected twist, former Economic Freedom Fighters (EFF) spokesperson Mbuyiseni Ndlozi has thrown his support behind President Cyril Ramaphosa, calling into question the widely held belief that he serves the interests of white monopoly capitalism.
In his post on X, Ndlozi praised Ramaphosa for his unwavering commitment to initiatives aimed at improving the lives of South Africans.
He pointed to significant policies like the National Health Insurance, the Basic Education Laws Amendment, and the Expropriation Act as evidence of Ramaphosa’s dedication to uplifting the nation.
Amid ongoing debates regarding the Marikana incident and Phala Phala saga, Ndlozi asserts that Ramaphosa is genuinely committed to transformation, distinguishing him from all SA heads of state.
He emphasised that the challenges posed by the Government of National Unity make Ramaphosa’s efforts even more remarkable.
The left, according to Ndlozi, must reevaluate its critical stance on Ramaphosa, acknowledging that he is not the mere puppet of white monopoly capitalism as so often claimed.
It’s time to recognize that he is indeed working towards the greater good for all South Africans.
