Nissan South Africa has launched the New Model Year X-Trail and the limited-edition Magnite Kuro, marking significant milestones in its product strategy for 2025.
These additions bolster Nissan commitment to the local market by combining advanced technology with family-oriented features.
The automaker has further solidified its presence in the local automotive landscape with the launch of the New Model Year X-Trail and the exclusive Magnite Kuro Black Edition.

These releases represent the fourth and fifth major introductions for 2025, following the successful rollout of the PRO-4X Warrior and Stealth variants of the Navara, along with the versatile Magnite Move panel van.
The New Model Year X-Trail aims to blend family-centric design with cutting-edge technology and enhanced safety features.
It includes conveniences such as a wireless charging pad and innovative locking functionalities, ensuring a smooth driving experience for South African families. Powered by a robust 2.5-litre engine, it offers a blend of performance and practicality for various driving conditions, boasting a towing capacity of 2,000 kg.
In a bold addition, the limited-edition Magnite Kuro is set to captivate consumers with its striking black exterior accents and exclusive design elements.
Built on the popular N-Connect trim, this edition is powered by Nissan’s efficient HRA0 1.0-litre turbocharged engine, delivering a spirited driving experience tailored for both urban and highway settings.
Maciej Klenkiewicz, Managing Director for Nissan South Africa and Independent Markets Africa, emphasised the company’s mission to diversify its offerings.
“With this string of new industry-leading arrivals, Nissan is placing more choice and buying power in the hands of South Africans across every major car segment,” he stated.
Both vehicles align with Nissan’s commitment to safety, with the Magnite range having achieved a commendable 5-star Global NCAP rating.
