JOHANNESBURG – Zolile Dweba, a maintenance coordinator at Nissan South Africa’s body shop, has emerged victorious in the company’s internal ambassador competition, earning a weekend adventure in the formidable Navara Pro4-X Warrior.
The contest, launched late last year, challenged Nissan staff to showcase their creativity and brand passion, tasking them with crafting social media content around the Navara Warrior.
Dweba’s winning entry seamlessly blended his love for soccer club Orlando Pirates with the off-road prowess of the Nissan behemoth, captivating audiences and earning nearly 8,500 likes and 47,000 views.
“This project gave us a wonderful opportunity to showcase both our people and our products, and have a lot of fun in the process,” said Ramy Mohareb, Nissan Africa head of communications, brand and customer experience.
For Dweba, a lifelong Nissan enthusiast who owns a Magnite, the chance to experience the Navara Warrior firsthand was a dream come true.
“We spend our lives building these incredible vehicles, and hardly get a chance to drive them, so to get the car for that weekend was wonderful,” he exclaimed.
Dweba weekend with the Navara Warrior left a lasting impression, as he described the vehicle as “a beast with a massive heart, perfect in every way, especially for South African roads.”
He highlighted the rugged off-road capabilities, impressive durability, and advanced safety features that make the Warrior a formidable companion for exploring the country’s diverse terrain.
“We’ve always believed our people are our best ambassadors,” Mohareb said, “and Zolile proves exactly that; unfeigned, authentic and proud – and we are very lucky to have many more like them.”
The Navara Pro4-X Warrior, customised by Premcar, is now available through Nissan’s nationwide dealer network, offering customers the opportunity to conquer South Africa’s most challenging landscapes in style and comfort
