Two men aged 50 to 55 were arrested in Kauletsi village, Ga-Seleka, outside Lephalale following an intelligence-led drug raid targeting alleged dagga dealers.
The suspects, caught with 24 sachets and 19 plastic bags of dagga valued at R29,500, will face charges at Phalala Magistrate Court today.
Limpopo police spokesperson Colonel Malesela Ledwaba confirmed Witpoort vispol and Lephalale K9 units executed Wednesday operation after receiving tips about local drug activity. Officers tracked down the suspects in Witpoort jurisdiction, seizing the haul without incident.


In a parallel crackdown, Vhembe District’s Flying Squad uncovered 140.5 kilograms of abandoned dagga in Musina Phase 8 during operations this week. The drugs, packed in five bags, were found unclaimed after tip-offs led police to the site.
No suspects were apprehended, and the street value remains undetermined.
Provincial Police Commissioner Lieutenant General Thembi Hadebe praised officers for their coordinated efforts in combating drug-related crimes. Investigations continue as authorities tighten the net on narcotics networks across Limpopo.
