Mob justice leaves two men dead

The Limpopo Police Commissioner, Lt Gen Thembi Hadebe has strongly condemned the killing of two unknown men in a mob justice attack at Motet iti village, Limpopo.

The incident, which occurred on Thursday morning, has shocked the community and prompted swift action from the police.

According to Provincial Police Spokesperson, Brigadier Hlulani Mashaba,officers were alerted to the incident and upon arrival at the scene, discovered the bodies of the two victims with multiple burned wounds.
“Despite efforts to curb criminal activity in the area, some individuals continue to take matters into their own hands,” said Brigadier Mashaba.
Lt Gen Hadebe has ordered a thorough investigation into the murders, emphasising that no one has the right to act as a judge.
Those responsible for the senseless killings will be pursued and brought to justice for their actions.

Police have opened two counts of murder and are urging anyone with information to come forward and assist in the investigation.

The shocking attack serves as a reminder that violence is never the solution, and that the rule of law must be upheld at all times.

The community is urged to work together with law enforcement to ensure that justice is served and to prevent further acts of vigilante
