Remembering a leader: ANC pays tribute to Mabuza

African National Congress (ANC) members and leaders gathered in heartfelt unity on Saturday at Hoërskool Bergvlam in Mbombela for the funeral of former Deputy President David Dabede Mabuza.

The Party celebrated Mabuza lifelong dedication to the liberation movement, his governmental leadership, and his steadfast commitment to the South African people.

ANC Secretary General Fikile Mbalula expressed the party’s deep sorrow on social media, honouring a comrade who devoted his life to serving the nation.

The flood of condolences from across South Africa and around the globe highlighted Mabuza legacy as a unifier and devoted servant of the people.

Mbalula described him as a strategic and enigmatic figure, always loyal to promoting stability and unity, yet remaining humble despite his significant status.

He noted that Mabuza humble beginnings inspired him to uplift those around him.

ANC Secretary General thanked the Mabuza family for allowing the ANC to stand with them in this difficult time as they prepare to bid farewell to DD.

Mbalula also acknowledged Mpumalanga comrades dedication and throughout the country for their efforts in honouring Mabuza’s life.

He expressed gratitude to other political parties for their support and thanked the media for enabling the sharing of cherished memories of Comrade
